A Glimpse of New Zealand

Kia ora (welcome) to the “Youngest Country on Earth.” From the Bay of Island’s pristine beaches to the soaring pinnacles of the Milford Sound, New Zealand is simply stunning. A popular destination on client’s bucket list, here is some insider information to inspire your travel lust.

About New Zealand

New Zealand consists of the North Island with a warmer climate, geothermal areas and active volcanoes, and the South Island featuring fjords, glaciers, and plenty of marine life. There are several outlying islands as well. The destination offers a mix of outdoor activity with culture experiences featuring the traditions of the native Maori.

Experience New Zealand

Dine in the Mountains

New Zealand offers plenty of unique adventures but none compare to "Picnic on a Peak." A private helicopter takes guests over the Southern Island's glaciers and pristine valleys before landing at a secluded alpine location to enjoy lunch.

Explore the Fjords

Cruise through the majestic Milford Sound in the South Island, taking in the views of the spectacular waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. You can kayak amongst the seals and dolphins before enjoying dinner onboard. Then indulge in stargazing as you spend the night onboard, heading to port in the morning.

Made in New Zealand

Discover delicious foods and wine, Maori traditions and local artists all set in beautiful rural Hawke’s Bay on the North Island. Visit food producers on their land where you can taste, touch and smell the local produce. A Maori native can provide a spiritual insight into her culture. Taste beautifully crafted local wines at prestigious wineries. Walk amongst the diverse collection of art deco buildings in Napier and enjoy meeting fascinating artists in their studios.

Nature’s Wonders

A must-see in Rotorua is the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve with a Maori guide. There will be stops along the way to view bubbling mud pools, mineral springs, shooting geysers and an opportunity to see the nocturnal Kiwi, New Zealand’s national bird.

When to Go

The peak season is December through March, with the few months before and after offering lower prices and crowds. If you’re interested in the winter sports offered in New Zealand, you’ll want to go in June – September.

When to Book

We suggest booking at least a year in advance. Availability is limited for the unique lodges and experiences.
