We have been conditioned to believe we’ll get an amazing deal if we wait until the last minute. This line of thinking tends to apply to high volume tourist destinations where there is a sea of sameness at large resorts. Have you ever wondered why people didn’t want these rooms in the first place?

Travel is an investment and it’s not worth the gamble to compromise the experience you desire. Every day you wait, means another traveler is taking an option off the table. For example, the most authentic lodging is offered by small boutique properties with tons of character. A big part of their charm is the small number of rooms which can quickly sell out. When it comes to tours, guides will make or break your trip. When you have an exceptional guide, it can be life changing. When you have a mediocre or bad guide, it’s a missed opportunity. Keep in mind, the best guides are booked well in advance. This leaves the novices and mediocre talent available closer to the travel date.
