Kara Smith to Lead Wanderlist Program at Pique Travel

We would like to welcome Kara Smith as our newest member to the Pique Travel team. She will be leading the Wanderlist program, guiding our clients through a more strategic and thoughtful approach to their travel.

She comes to us with over 15 years of client development and market research experience. When her family relocated to the Twin Cities from Chicago last year, she was ready to make a change and apply her client relationship skills to her passion for travel.

She spotted Pique her first month living in Minnesota, while eating lunch in Excelsior. Impressed by Pique’s custom approach, specialized designers, enrichment events and innovation accolades, she told her husband that she would work there one day…Fast forward one year… and she's starting on her new journey with us!

Kara has been to 45 states, more than 25 countries on 5 continents and loves every minute of the travel planning process. Some of her favorite trips include a luxury road trip through New Zealand, an eco-lodge in remote Nicaragua, backpacking through Southeast Asia and a golf centric trip to Bandon, Oregon. While she most recently lived in Chicago for almost 15 years, she is a very proud Detroit native, a food enthusiast and adventure seeker. She currently lives in Edina with her husband, son (2-1/2) and daughter (5 months).
